Payments for repaired washrooms in Qalamabad, Mawer pending for two years
ACD Kupwara says payment will be cleared in next 30 days
Srinagar, Mar 11 (PTK): The payments for repairs of the washrooms in Qalamabad and Mawer blocks in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district are pending for the last two years and Village Development Committees of both the blocks have expressed their displeasure and dismay over unwanted delay in payments.
Members of the Village Development Committees of Qalamabad-Mawer blocks told Press Trust of Kashmir (PTK) over phone that they are running from pillar to post for the payments due to them for the repairs of washrooms for the last two years but the authorities are turning a deaf year to their repeated pleas on this count.
When contacted ACD Kupwara Ghulam Mohammad told Press Trust of Kashmir (PTK) over phone, “I have taken up the matter with Deputy Commissioner Kupwara who has assured release of the payments within one month from now onwards.” (PTK)
