NIA raids houses of two Cross LoC traders

 

SRINAGAR, JULY 23 (PTK): National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Tuesday raided the premises of two traders who did business across the Line of Control (LoC). The raids were carried out in Pulwama and Srinagar districts.

Police sources said that in collaboration with Jammu and Kashmir Police, NIA officials raided Ghulam Ahmed Wani’s house in Karar area of Pulwama district. Sources said that Wani was involved in the administration before canceling the business crossing the LoC on February 14, 2019.

NIA sources said, “Another raid was carried out at Parimpora Fruit Mandi in Srinagar.” These raids were carried out under the NIA’s investigation of terrorism funding (Terror Funding).

Among those raided were Tanveer Wani, president of cross-Line of Control (LoC) traders’ association at Pulwama in south Kashmir, they said.

NIA has so far arrested the famous industrialist Zahoor Watali and several other separatist leaders. (PTK)
