Commuters, Students suffer due to lack of transport service on Naidkhai Pattan-Sopore road

SRINAGAR, JUNE 27 (PTK): The students and Commuters of Pattan areas suffering immensely due to lack of transport services from past week on Naidkhai to Pattan/Sopore Road.
Mini bus drivers are on strike for seven consecutive days over the diversion of vehicles through interior village road Magraypora-Tengpora-Goushbugh.
Due to shortage of buses which are on strike,common public face hardships in travelling distances as acute shortage of passenger vehicles on the said road.
“I traveled two kilometers by foot as i am worried for my unwell baby, i don’t know when will I reach the hospital” said a woman.
Students also had tough time to reach their college’s/Schools and are suffering very badly.
“I travelled seven kilometers by foot to attend my classes at degree college Pattan because none of vehicles were plying through Naidkhai to Pattan” said and exhausted student Nasir Ahamd while resting under a Chinar tree.
The Drivers, conductors of mini bus stand Naidkhai were on strike for seven consecutive days over making the diversion of a road in the narrow interior village road via Magraypora-Tengpora-Goushbugh Pattan.
They are demanding motor vehicles should be only ply on main macadamized road than on interior roads of the villages.
Officials should solve the issue at an earliest so that common public and drivers’ fraternity didn’t suffer.
Students, Commuters appealed ARTO Sopore and SDM Pattan to look into the issue and to resolve public grievance as soon as possible.
Locals said that there should be no sufferings or least sufferings to the common public adding that the officers should take swift action to ease the life of general public. (PTK)
