Confrontational approach will only bring miseries in JK: Kadfeen
Says Congress only party that treats youth as guiding factor, inspires them to join mainstream
Srinagar: Reacting to Prime Minister Modi’s recent speech in Jammu, Congress leader Kadfeen Choudhary said that it was unfortunate that the Prime Minister didn’t even use a single word for the youth to shun violence and contribute rebuilding the crises ridden state.
In a statement, Kadfeen said that the only approach being adopted by the central government in Jammu and Kashmir is a muscular approach, squeezing chances for the disgruntled youth of the state to join mainstream and help restoring peace. “Instead of taking pro-peace initiatives, it is unfortunate that the BJP is doing everything that could make peace elusive and people loose hope of finding a tranquil Jammu and Kashmir,” said Kadfeen.
He added that at a time when alienation and frustration among the youth is increasing at an unprecedented pace, what is required is a non- partisan and non- conformist approach to deal with the crises. “Such repressive behaviour and macho approach will not work on the word. On the contrary, it will have far reaching consequences, making the already perturbed masses to reap pain once again,” Kadfeen said.
He maintained further that it is Congress party alone that has been in the forefront in making youth an integral part of the mainstream and provide them best possible avenues so that they could scan new horizons and explore lively opportunities. (PTK)
