Sopore militant laid to rest; schools colleges to remain closed tomorrow

Thousands of people attened the last rites of Danish Ahmed Dar a militant affiliated with Jaish-e-Muhammad (JeM), at his native village Saidpora area of Sopore in North Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Thursday evening.
It is pertinent to mention Danish was killed in a day long gunfight at Yaroo Langate area of Handwara in North Kashmir’s Kupwara district.
As the body was handed over to the family, thousands of people assembled in his hometown to participate in the last rituals and have his last glimpse.
After a round of funeral, Danish was laid to rest at the martyrs’ graveyard at Saidpora amid Pro Freedom and Anti India Slogans.
Meanwhile District Authorities have decided to suspend the Classwork in all colleges, and Higher Secondary Schools on Friday in Sopore town as a precautionary measure however classwork in Schools will remain normal.
Earlier, army’s 30 RR, 92 bn CRPF and SOG had beset Yaroo village after being tipped off about the presence of militants in the area which lated triggered a gunfire after contact was established with the hiding militants.
