Kadfeen censures Govt. over keeping polling staff’s additional salary in limbo
Says Govt. orders in JK now becoming promises of inconstant beloved
Srinagar, Mar 24: Congress leader Kadfeen Choudhary on Sunday demanded immediate disbursement of one month additional salary to the employees who have discharged their election duties during Muncipal and Panchayat elections.
Kadfeen said that it is unfortunate that even the orders issued by the government itself in Jammu and Kashmir are turning out to be the promises of an inconstant beloved, hence hitting the credibility of the the democratic institutions hard with each passing day.
Kadfeen said that on December 20, last year, the Jammu and Kashmir Government ordered the release of one month salary for the employees who were deployed for conduct of Municipal and Panchayat polls. However, said Kadfeen, more than three months have passed since the issuance of the order and the employees are still waiting for the much hyped addition wages.
Kadfeen quested that why when much time has passed since then that there in no forward movement. People really wonder whether that was really an Order or a mere hoax, he added.
The Congress leader said there are also apprehensions raised by the employees that since some government officers have become so used to corruption as when they cannot be bribed, they shelve the file. “The government must come clean on this and must resolve the issue ahead of the coming parliament polls,” Kadfeen said.
