Senior Police officer accused of raping 16 year old foster daughter of step sister

SRINAGAR, OCT 27 (PTK): in a shocking incident of allege sexual exploitation of the 16 year old girl in Kishtwar District, the senior police officer in Kishtwar District has allegedly develop a sexual relationship with the foster daughter of his step sister and turn the victim friendly in his favor as a result of which her foster parents are facing tough time to get the rape case register against him.
As per the details available with the newspaper, the foster parents of the 16 year old girl has lodged a written complaint against the said police officer stating the their foster daughter ( name withheld) had gone missing from the home for couple of days some days ago and seek the help of the police to trace her.
The complaint later claim that they recovered the girl from the position of her step brother who is a police officer in Jammu and Kashmir and after inquiring the matter from the girl, they came to know that the accused police officer has develop the sexual relationship with the girl and earlier also he use to have the sex with the minor girl over a period of around one year.
After coming to know about the sexual advances of the accused on her minor foster daughter by his step brother, she along with her husband approaches the police station Kishtwar with the complaint demanding registration of an FIR against the police officer.
She also brought the matter into the notice of other family members who after holding a detail deliberation over the issue not only snubbed the officer who had his children elder in age then the victim and even boycotted him over the issue and also refuses to support him over this heinous issue beside also suggested the foster parents of the victim to lodge written complaint with the police against him.
As soon as the issue comes into the notice of Kishtwar Police, they started preliminary investigation wherein the girl though narrated the whole story, but she refuses to sign on the statement and told the police that she is going to marry with the accused.
“Mai Mamma (Maternal Uncle referred to accuse) Ji Sey Shahdi Karoongie Mamma Ji ney mujko bola hai (I will marry to Mamma Ji He had told me)” the girl told the senior police officer.
The sources told that the police officer privy to the inquiry was shocked over the story narrated by the victim girl and her testimony in support of the accused police officer whom she referred to “Mamma”.
The sources said that the police is helpless to move ahead in the investigation since the girl is psychologically under the control of the accused and is refusing to sign on the statement while her foster mother is insisting the police to register the case against her brother beside to conduct the medical examination of the victim girl.
The sources said that the victim’s family also approaches the SSP Kishtwar with the request to register an FIR against the accused police officer added that SSP Kishtwar had ask the Dy. SP HQ to look into the case and take the action in the light of the law.
The family sources said that the accuse police officer instead of accepting his guilt is allegedly started harassing his handicapped step sister over a land measuring 2.5 Kanal which her father had inherited on her name added the accused is creating hurdle in clearing the land compensation on his step sister name after a part of the land which she inherited comes under the road aliment.
“He beat them over the land issue and also want to get the case of assault registered against them by using his police influence but failed to do the same” said the sources.
