Deputy CM Reviews Jeevan Nagar Bridge Project, Inspects Restoration Works at Mubarak Mandi Heritage Complex

Jammu, June 6 (PTK): Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Choudhary on Friday conducted an extensive inspection of the ongoing Digiana–Jeevan Nagar Bridge Project and reviewed restoration works at the historic Mubarak Mandi Heritage Complex, emphasizing timely completion of projects and preservation of heritage assets.

The Deputy Chief Minister visited the bridge project from Sabzi Mandi Lane, Satwari, Jammu, where he assessed the progress and quality of work being executed on the important infrastructure project.

During the inspection, he directed the concerned officers to ensure the bridge is completed within the stipulated timeframe while maintaining the highest quality standards. He observed that the project is of significant public importance and will play a vital role in improving connectivity and facilitating smoother movement of people in the area.

Later, Surinder Choudhary visited the historic Mubarak Mandi Heritage Complex and took stock of the ongoing restoration and development works being carried out at the heritage site.

He reviewed the restoration of damaged lawns and walls of the historic Gadadhar Temple and stressed the need to preserve the architectural heritage and cultural significance of the complex while ensuring quality execution of conservation works.

The Deputy Chief Minister also inspected the availability of essential civic amenities for residents living in and around the heritage complex. Taking note of public concerns, he directed the concerned authorities to ensure uninterrupted drinking water supply to the residents of Andheri Gali Mohalla, Panjtirthi, Mubarak Mandi and adjoining localities.

Reiterating the government’s commitment towards infrastructure development, heritage conservation and efficient public service delivery, the Deputy Chief Minister instructed all departments to work in close coordination and address public issues in a time-bound manner.

Senior officers from the Jal Shakti Department, Public Works (R&B) Department, district administration and other concerned departments accompanied the Deputy Chief Minister during the inspections.(PTK)
