45 year old lady from South Kashmir dies at SKIMS, toll reaches 93
SRINAGAR JUNE(PTK) A 45 year old lady from Batengoo area of South Kashmir’s Anantnag district died at SKIMS a day after she was tested positive for Covid-19.
Dr Farooq Jan, Medical Superintendent SKIMS Soura said that a 45 year old lady from Batengoo who was suffering from diabetes, hypertension, community-acquired pneumonia (CAP) and other ailments died at SKIMS on Saturday morning.
He said that patient was on ventilator and was tested positive for covid-19 on Friday.
Pertinently Batengoo village is under medical block Kulgam and as per revenue, it is under Anantnag district.
Prior to her a 70-year-old lady from Sopore died at SMHS on Friday evening and was tested positive for COVID-19 on Saturday.
Dr. Nazir Choudhary, Medical Superintendent at SMHS said that a 70-year-old lady from Sopore who was admitted on June 25 at SMHS died on June 26.
“Her sample was taken and was tested positive after her death,” he said, adding that she was COPD patient and was also suffering from pneumonia.
With their death, the death toll in J&K due to COVID-19 has reached to 93 including 82 from Kashmir division and 11 from Jammu division
