4 Punjab Residents Dead, 3 Critical as Vehicle Skids Off Road in Kulgam

Srinagar, May 25 : Four residents of Punjab lost their lives, and three others sustained critical injuries in a tragic road accident in the Nipora area of Kulgam district on Saturday afternoon, according to officials.

An official reported that the accident occurred when a vehicle traveling from Qazigund to Srinagar skidded off the road near the grid station in Nipora.

The vehicle was carrying seven tourists, all hailing from Moga district in Punjab, when the mishap took place.

“The injured were shifted to GMC Hospital Anantnag, where four were pronounced dead and three are said to be in critical condition,” the official stated.

Police have taken cognizance of the incident and are investigating the cause of the accident.
