183 more test positive in J&K, tally rises To 5224
79 CRPF Men, army solider, policeman among new cases
SRINAGAR JUNE(PTK)79 CRPF personnel, an army soldier and a policeman were among 183 fresh cases of novel coronavirus reported in Jammu and Kashmir on Monday.
The new cases include two pregnant women and as many shopkeepers, take the overall tally of the covid-19 patients in the J&K to 5224.
Official said that 126 cases were confirmed at viral diagnostic laboratory at SKIMS Soura, 57 cases were reported from various other laboratories.
Among the 57 cases, 14 were reported from Srinagar followed by Pulwama (8), Udhampur (7), Samba(6), Ramban (4), Reasi (3), two each in Kulgam, Budgam and Kupwara while one case each has been reported from Ganderbal, Kathua and Kishtwar.
Among the 57 cases, 14 were confirmed at the CD hospital’s diagnostic laboratory and included a soldier (31) from 42 Rashtriya Rifles stationed at Tral, a 40-year-old policeman from Awantipora police station, two pregnant women—both aged 32-year-old each, one from Wanpoh and Rahmoo—besides as many shopkeepers—45-year-old female from Duderhama Ganderbal and a 50-year-old male from Drabgam Pulwama.
Dr. G H Yatoo, Nodal Officer at SKIMS said that out of the samples processed at the viral diagnostic lab today, 126 returned positive for the virus.
As per officials figures, 633 positive cases including 08 deaths and 398 recoveries are from Kulgam, 515 including 11 deaths and 223 recoveries are from Baramulla, 538 including 14 deaths and 158 recoveries are from Srinagar, 490 including 385 recoveries and 05 deaths are from Anantnag, 538 including 304 recoveries and 05 deaths are from Shopian, 399 including 288 recoveries and 05 deaths are from Kupwara, 239 including 194 recoveries and 01 death are from Bandipora, 241 including 112 recoveries and 04 deaths are from Budgam, 252 including 60 recoveries and 02 deaths are from Pulwama and 62 including 54 recoveries are from Ganderbal.
In Jammu division, 279 including 139 recoveries and 04 deaths are from Jammu district, 199 including 57 recoveries are from Ramban, 165 including 39 recoveries and 01 death is from Udhampur, 160 including 76 recoveries are from Kathua, 104 including 33 recoveries from Poonch, 105 including 39 recoveries are from Samba, 66 including one death and 12 recoveries are from Rajouri, 63 including 24 recoveries and 01 death are from Doda, 27 including 11 recoveries are from Reasi and 23,including 07 recoveries are from Kishtwar.
As per the daily information bulletin, 237,765 persons in Jammu and Kashmir are under observation while as 40,891 persons have been kept under home quarantine besides that 2432 persons are in hospital isolation while as 32 persons are under hospital quarantine.
According to the bulletin, 145,245 persons have completed surveillance period and 49,103 persons are under home surveillance besides that so far results of 271,294 samples are available.
Out of 271,294 the number of samples tested negative stands at 266,196 while as 5098 have been tested positive, among them 2432 are active and 2604 persons have recovered and 62 persons have died(PTK)
