Youth slips to death while extracting sand from Jhelum in Srinagar 

Srinagar, 16 Nov (PTK): A 25-year-old youth drowned while extracting sand from river Jhelum at Sheikhpora Sonwar on Tuesday.

Official Sources told Press Trust Of Kashmir (PTK) that some people were extracting sand from river Jhelum at Sheikhpora Srinagar, however, a man , identified as Marif Ahmad a resident from Budgam district slipped and fell into the river.

Soon after the incident police and locals launched a rescue operation to trace out his body and after hectic efforts his body was fished out from the river, he adds. (PTK)
