Youth attack “forces vehicles” at Beerwah

SRINAGAR, (PTK): Clashes between youth and security forces erupted in Beerwah town of central Kashmir’s Budgam district Wednesday afternoon after youth pelting stones upon the vehicles carrying polling staff.
An eyewitness while talking to PTK said that when government forces vehicles carrying polling staff were passing through the town the youth pelted them with stones causing chaos in the town.
Soon after the stone pelting incident, police reached the spot and chased away the miscreants. Minor clashes in the town were on time by time.
Shopkeepers downed shutters of their shops after the stone pelting incident. Traffic movement also remained disturbed for some time.
Meanwhile, scores of youth have been detained by government forces from Budgam district ahead of elections.
Srinagar-Budgam-Ganderbal parliamentary constituency will go for polls tommorow.
