Young Medicos Team fighting all odds to combat COVID-19 in Bandipora

Bandipora Apr 01 (PTK): A young team of medicos from district hospital Bandipora, who are part of a rapid response team (RRT) are battling all odds to combat the spreas of COVID-19 in the distirct.
The team has been tasked with the job of tracing the contacts of positive COVID-19 patients and those people having travel history abroad and and other parts of the country.
The RRT is on toes and has been going to every village in Bandipora to trace these people and if anyone is found with symptoms he is being put under quarantine.
The team includes, Mir Tafazul Yousuf, Liyaqat Ahmad, Manzoor Ahmad, Ghulam Mohammad Rather, Farooq Ahmad and Saif-ud-din.
Without fearing for their lives they have left no stone unturned to trace the contacts ever since a patient was reported positive in Kehnusa village of Bandipora.
“Even during dead of the night we go to the villages where contacts have been traced and persons with travel history are being reported to ensure the spread of this deadly virus is stopped and as many as lives are saved,” said Tafazul Mir, who heads the RRT.
He said that thy hardly get time to visit their families and they also prefer to stay away from their families because they remain in contact with the persons who are the contacts of positive patients all day.
He said that they are doing this for the society because this virus spares none and God forbade if this virus spreads it will be a disaster for the Kashmir valley.
“Even the countries with best health care facilities were brought on their knees by this deadly virus. The health care system is no where near these coutries so its the resposibility of every citizen of the valley to play their part to combat this deadly virus. We are doing our part and we urge the residents to do theirs as well by staying at home,” he said. (PTK)
