Young Fans and 34 Assam Rifles Jawans Celebrate India’s Victory Over Pakistan in Kangan
Ganderbal February 24 (PTK) town of Kangan in Jammu and Kashmir witnessed joyous celebrations as both young cricket enthusiasts and jawans of the 34 Assam Rifles came together to mark India’s emphatic six-wicket victory over Pakistan in the Champions Trophy 2025.
As soon as India secured the win, young fans flooded the streets, waving the national flag, bursting crackers, and chanting slogans in support of Team India. In a heartwarming display of patriotism, jawans of the 34 Assam Rifles also joined the celebrations, sharing sweets with locals and cheering for the Indian team.
The match, played at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium, saw Pakistan post a target of 241 runs. However, India’s batting brilliance, led by an unbeaten century from Virat Kohli and a crucial knock from Shreyas Iyer, ensured a comfortable chase in 42.3 overs. Earlier, Indian bowlers, especially Kuldeep Yadav, played a key role in restricting Pakistan’s total.
Speaking on the occasion, a senior officer from the 34 Assam Rifles expressed pride in the Indian team’s performance, calling it an inspiring moment for the nation. The celebrations reflected the unifying spirit of cricket, bringing together people from all walks of life.
