Woman mauls to death by Bear in Anantnag

Srinagar, 12 Nov (PTK) : A 40-year-old woman was mauled to death in bear attack in ashmuqam area of South Kashmir’s Anantnag district on friday afternoon .

An official told Press Trust Of Kashmir (PTK) that the wild bear attacked the woman (name withheld) wife of Muhammad Shaban Ahanger, a resident of Diyaro ashmuqam when she was working in the kitchen garden of her home.

“The attack left her critically injured. She was immediately rushed to nearby hospital in critical condition, however she dies on way to the hospital,” he adds.

Meanwhile police have taken cognizance of the incident. (PTK)
