Without caring for safety, Doctors at SDH Bijbehara conduct surgery during earthquake

At a time when most people were seen running for safety during an earthquake, the doctors at Sub District Hospital (SDH) Bijbehara conducted surgery on a patient on Tuesday late evening.

 

Despite the intense shocks, the doctors performing surgery remained focused and performed the surgery successfully.

 

The video of the surgery during the earthquake went viral on social media as the doctors didn’t care for their safety, but continued with the procedure.

 

 

“Emergency LSCS was going-on at SDH Bijbehara Anantnag during which strong tremors of Earthquake were felt.

Kudos to staff of SDH Bijbehara who conducted the LSCS smoothly & Thank God,everything is Alright.” CMO Anantnag tweeted.

 

An official said that 24×7 services were started at SDH Bijbehara recently and it was third patient on Tuesday evening whose surgery was being conducted.

 

He said that it is necessary to show maturity during panic situation which we did and everything is alright.

 

Earlier, we too feared about safety because we too are human beings but then we realized that patient should be our priority under all circumstances and we remained focussed and successfully completed the surgery, he said.

 

The netizens have been praising the doctors for the commendable job while some were also demanding facilitation for the doctors and other staff who were part of the team.
