Wanted Hizbul Terrorist Captured in Delhi: Delhi Police Special Cell Success
DELHI : The Delhi Police Special Cell successfully apprehended a wanted terrorist affiliated with Hizbul Mujahideen on Thursday. The captured individual, identified as Javed Ahmed Mattoo, was carrying a bounty of Rs 5 lakh.
The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has launched a search operation for Mattoo, who is a resident of Jammu and Kashmir’s Sopore and has a connection to Pakistan. His involvement in several terror incidents in Jammu and Kashmir had led to his wanted status.
Last year, a video featuring Javed’s brother, Rayees Mattoo, waving the tricolor in Sopore, went viral on social media platforms ahead of Independence Day. This arrest marks a significant step in the fight against terrorism, highlighting the collaborative efforts of law enforcement agencies. The Delhi Police Special Cell continues to work closely with the NIA to ensure the safety and security of the nation.
