127th Urs of Baba Nizam-ud-Din observed at Baba Nagri Kangan
SRINAGAR (PTK): The 127th annual Urs of Hazrat Mian Nizam-ud-Din Kiyani (RA) Observed at Baba Nagri Wangath in Kangan of central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district.
The Urs is observed in the first fortnight of June every year with thousands of devotees from within and outside Jammu and Kashmir thronging the two-day event.

The annual Urs started on June 6 and concluded on June 8 with night-long prayers and special prayers on Tuesday. An estimated 60 to 80 thousand people from Poonch, Rajouri, Kathua, Doda, Shopian, Bandipora, Baramulla and other districts, as well as from other parts of the country participated.
On the concluding day, a joint prayer was held in which devotees prayed for peace, prosperity, unity, brotherhood and communal harmony.
Besides religious personalities, Sajdah Nasheen Mian Altaf Ahmad and scores of Islamic scholars participated in the congregation.
Speaking on the occasion, Mian Altaf Ahmed highlighted the life and contribution of Hazrat Baba Nizam-ud-Din (RA) and late Mian Bashir Ahmad.
He emphasized upon participants to work for the welfare of humanity and follow the teachings of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH).(PTK)
