UP: Right-wing groups spread 600 Sq Ft Pakistan flag on road; people walk over it
SRINAGAR, (PTK); In reaction to the Pulwama attack, the right-wing groups in Muzaffarnagar UP on Tuesday stitched a 600 sqft Pakistan national flag and spread it on Delhi-Dehradun Road for vehicles, people to pass over it.
The groups were protesting against the 14 February Pulwama attack, in which 44 CRPF men were killed.
The right-wing groups have demanded the removal of Article 370, which gives an autonomous status to J-K, from the Constitution while raising anti-Pakistan slogans. With Lok Sabha elections around the corner, the groups said that votes will follow only after Article 370 was removed from the Constitution.
One of the activists said that “It is high time that the BJP-led Modi government thought of removing the special status to J&K, else we won’t vote for the party. With this act, we wanted to show our neighbouring country its status”. (PTK)
