Unknown gunmen shot cop, his two family members in Awantipora

Press Trust of Kashmir | Awantipora : Unknown gunmen on Sunday evening shot at special police officer and his two other family members in Hariparigam village of Awantipora Hamlet in South kashmir’s Pulwama district.

An official said that militants shot at injured SPO Fayaz Ahmad at his residence in Hariparigam area of Awantipora.

He said that during this incident his two more family members including his wife and daughter have also received bullet injuries.

He said that injured trio were shifted to hospital for treatment where Fayaz was declared brought dead while as wife Raja succumbed to her injuries there, however, his daughter Rafia was shifted to Srinagar for treatment.

He added that area has been cordoned off to nab the attackers.(PTK)
