Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh Chairs DISHA Meeting in Kathua, Reviews Progress of Key Central Schemes

Jammu December 07 (PTK) Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh chaired the DISHA meeting in Kathua to review the progress of several important Central Government Schemes. The schemes discussed included PMGSY (Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana), MGNREGA (Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act), and PMAY (Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana).

Dr. Singh emphasized the timely completion of projects and the goal of achieving 100% beneficiary coverage under these schemes. He highlighted the importance of these schemes in enhancing infrastructure, providing employment opportunities, and ensuring affordable housing for all.

The Shahpur Kandi Project, a key infrastructure initiative in the region, is on track and expected to be completed by March 2025, further boosting the region’s development.

The meeting stressed the need for continuous monitoring and effective implementation to maximize the benefits of these schemes for the people of Jammu and Kashmir:- (PTK)
