Two Students Killed, Several Injured in Handwara Bus Accident; LG Manoj Sinha Expresses Grief

In a tragic incident that shook the Handwara region of Jammu and Kashmir, two young students lost their lives and several others sustained injuries after a college bus met with an accident on Friday. The mishap has sent shockwaves through the local community and evoked widespread sorrow.

Lieutenant Governor Shri Manoj Sinha expressed deep anguish over the loss of young lives. Extending his condolences to the bereaved families, the LG took to social media platform X to share his heartfelt message.

“The news of the death of two young students in Handwara College Bus accident is extremely heartbreaking. In this hour of grief, my thoughts are with the bereaved family members. Praying for the early recovery of the injured,” he posted.

Rescue teams and medical personnel were rushed to the scene immediately after the incident. The injured students have been admitted to nearby hospitals, where they are undergoing treatment. Officials said all necessary medical care is being provided.

The Lieutenant Governor also assured that the administration is closely monitoring the situation and providing all possible assistance to the victims’ families and the injured students.
