Press Trust of Kashmir | Srinagar : Two militants surrendered in an encounter that broke out between security forces and militants in Hadigam area of South Kashmir’s Kulgam district.:
An official said that a joint of team of police and CRPF after receiving information about the presence of militants launched search operation in the area.
He said that as the joint team of forces intensified searches towards suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon the party, which was retaliated, thus triggering an encounter.
He said that during encounter, militants were given ample opportunities to surrender, which they accepted and surrendered along with arms and ammunition.
During the #encounter, 02 local militants #surrendered on the #appeal of their parents & police. #Incriminating materials, arms & ammunition recovered. Further details shall follow.” Kashmir Police zone tweeted.:-PTK.
