Two LeT militants killed in Shopian encounter

One among them was involved in killing of non-local bank manager

Shopian June 15 (PTK) Two LeT militants were killed in an encounter that broke out between security forces and militants in area of Kanjiullar area of South Kashmir’s Shopian district, officials said on Wednesday.

An official said that a joint of team of police and CRPF after receiving information about the presence of militants launched search operation in the area.

He said that as the joint team of forces intensified searches towards suspected spot, the hiding militants fired upon the party, which was retaliated, thus triggering an encounter.

During exchange of fire two LeT militants were killed and among them one was involved in killing of Vijay Kumar, a bank manager from Rajasthan.
