Two Individuals Booked Under PSA in J&K’s Baramulla for Alleged Anti-National Activities
SRINAGAR: The Baramulla Police has booked two individuals, Fayaz Ahmad Kumar and Safeer Ahmad Bhat, under the stringent Public Safety Act (PSA) for their alleged involvement in anti-national activities. The individuals, residents of Khanpora and Janbazpora in Baramulla respectively, are now held at Central Jail Kot-Balwal in Jammu.
The police, taking a stern stance against Anti-National Elements (ANEs), obtained formal detention orders before initiating action against the accused. Despite several cases registered against them and their reported contribution to the disturbance of law and order, the individuals continued engaging in anti-national and social activities, according to a statement from the police.
This move signifies the authorities’ commitment to curbing activities that pose a threat to national security and communal harmony. The detention under PSA underscores the severity of the charges against the accused, sending a strong message regarding the consequences of engaging in anti-national acts in the region.
