Press trust of Kashmir| Kulgam: Police Kulgam arrested two accused, allegedly involved in Raping a Girl, within half an hour after complaint was received

A girl (Name withheld) approached Police Post Mirbazar with a written complaint stating that she was wrongfully restrained and forcibly Raped in a vehicle (Truck) bearing registration No. JK18-9100 on NHW at Nipora near Petrol pump by a person namely:-
▪︎Mudasir Ahmad Ganie S/O Abdul Rashid Ganie R/O Banimulla with the help of another person;
▪︎Manzoor Ahmad Naik S/O Ghulam Mohd Naik R/O Gadool.

On receipt of the complaint, a case with FIR No. 111/2021 U/S 376, 109 IPC was registered in police station Qazigund and investigation was taken up in instant manner.

On tip off, Police party from Police Post Mirbazar led by I/C PP Mirbazar Sub Inspector Imtiyaz Ahmad under the supervision of SDPO Qazigund Shri. Govind Rattan-JKPS was constituted to nab the accused persons.

Utilizing all available means and with strenuous efforts, investigating team arrested both the accused within half an hour after complaint was received in Police Post Mirbazar and the vehicle used in commission of crime was seized. Further investigation of the case is in progress.(PTK)

Press trust of Kashmir | Srinagar : The Jammu & Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) President G.A. Mir has expressed deep sorrow over the death of Zaffar Iqbal Chauhan (25) of Manzmou (Dooru) after meeting an accident.

The deceased was the son of Sarpanch Mohd Iqbal Chauhan.

In his condolence message, JKPCC President G.A. Mir has expressed grief over the death of Zaffar Iqbal Chauhan, terming it as tragic and shocking.

I have no words to express my grief over the tragic death of young Zaffar Iqbal Chauhan, who was a thorough gentleman, G.A. Mir said in his condolence message.
