Transport Commr directs RTOs, ARTOs to ensure sanitisation of public transport at regular intervals

Jammu, Mar 16 (PTK): The Jammu and Kashmir Transport Commissioner on Monday directed All RTOs and ARTOs of the transport department to ensure that all the public transport operating in their territorial jurisdictions are sanitized with the prescribed disinfectants at the regular intervals as prescribed by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India.

In the order they have been also asked to ensure necessary briefings and sensitization of drivers and cleaners through their staff with the direction that the Presidents of Bus Stands, Sumo Stands and Auto Stands shall also be involved for awareness of their staff, drivers and cleaners;

All RTOs and ARTOs have been asked to ensure that no trial test/learning test of the driving licenses shall be conducted till 31st of March 2020 with the direction that they shall notify a help line No./Whatsapp No. for general public to address urgent issues of public importance regarding transport.
