Tragic Loss: 17-Year-Old Boy Passes Away in Ganderbal Drowning Incident

GANDERBAL: A somber incident unfolded on Monday evening as a 17-year-old boy, identified as Faidy Bilal Wani, lost his life due to drowning in the water canal near his residence in the Ragpora Alibagh area of Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district.
According to official reports shared with the Press Trust of Kashmir, the young teenager was immersed in the water canal close to his home. Swift response teams, including the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), local police, and community members, promptly carried out a rescue operation. Despite their efforts, Faidy Bilal Wani was rushed to a nearby hospital, where he was sadly pronounced dead upon arrival.
The victim, son of Bilal Ahmad Wani, was a resident of Ragpora Alibagh. Law enforcement authorities have taken notice of the incident, underlining the gravity of the situation.
