Top JEM among 3 militants Killed in Pulwama, internet Suspended

 

SRINAGAR JUNE(PTK) Three Militants were killed in the exchange of gunfire between militants and Government forces at Kangan area of South Kashmir’s Pulwama District.

A Police official told PTK that a team of 55 RR, CRPF and SOG of Jammu Kashmir Police was fired upon by Militants in the Kangan area, during a cordon and Search operation, after which the Army retaliated to the firing trigerring an encounter.

They said that three Militants including a top Jaish e Muhammad Commander were killed in the brief exchange of gunfire.

A Police official said, “Arms and ammunition, have been recovered from the spot.”

Meanwhile Internet Services have been snapped in Pulwama Police district as a precautionary measure.

IGP Kashmir Vijay Kumar in a press conference said that slain militants were involved in an IED attack however it was averted by forces on time.

The slain commander from Multan area of Pakistan has been identified as Abdur Rehman alias Fouji Bhai or Fouji Baba, who had participated in Afghan war and was active since 2017 in Kashmir, said Kumar.

Fouji Bhai, he added, was the IED expert and was the mastermind of May 28 Car bomb plan which was averted on time by the police, army and CRPF.
