Three Terrorists Killed in Baramulla Encounter

Baramulla, Sept 14: In a significant counter-insurgency operation, three terrorists were killed in an ongoing encounter in the Chak Tappar area of Pattan, Baramulla, officials reported on Saturday.
The encounter, which began late Friday night, intensified early Saturday when two more unidentified terrorists were killed, raising the death toll to three. Initially, one terrorist had been neutralized.
According to officials, the terrorists were trapped inside a school building, and a thorough search operation is still underway.
The encounter followed a cordon and search operation (CASO) led by a joint team of the Army’s 29 Rashtriya Rifles, CRPF, and Jammu and Kashmir Police, based on credible inputs about the presence of terrorists in the area. As the forces neared the suspected location, the terrorists opened fire, triggering the gunfight.
