Tenant kills landlord after hitting him with axe

SRINAGAR (PTK) A man was killed by his tenant after hitting him with an axe in Pir Mohalla village of south Kashmir’s Shopian district on Sunday.

A police official said that Bilal Ahmad Tak son of Ghulam Mohammad, a resident of Pir Mohalla Shopian was killed by his tenant after some heated argument.

An official added that the tenant Nazir Ahmad a resident of Manloo Shopian hit his landlord with an axe after a scuffle broke out between them over some issue.

He said that in the fit of rage tenant hit his landlord with an axe and injured him critically. “Bilal was shifted to Shopian hospital for treatment from where doctors referred him to Srinagar hospital where he was declared dead on arrival,” the official said.

Police have registered a case in this regard and further investigation has been taken up.(PTK)
