Swift Medical Assistance and Evacuation by Indian Army’s 34th Assam Rifles at 10,000 Feet

SRINAGAR (PTK) : Responding to a distress call from a group of trekkers near Nandkol Lake on the Great Lakes Trek in Ganderbal District, the 34th Assam Rifles camp promptly dispatched a rescue team, including a medical assistant. Abdul Jabbar, a 37-year-old trekker from Maldha, West Bengal, experienced low oxygen levels while descending from Nandkol to Naranag.

 

Seeking aid, the group contacted the nearby Assam Rifles Camp, triggering an immediate response from the Indian Army.

 

The Indian Army medical team was soon joined by an ambulance and doctors from Kangan Trauma Hospital. Together, they swiftly reached the location and administered medical assistance to Abdul Jabbar. Subsequently, he was safely evacuated to Kangan Trauma Hospital for further care and treatment.(PTK)
