Stray dogs on prowl in Bandipora villages, 20 bitten in a single day

Bandipora, 10 June: (PTK) Stray dog attacked and injured at least 20 persons in village Check Mantrigam, Tangath areas of North Kashmir’s Bandipora district on wednesday creating panic in the villages.
The residents of Check Mantrigam, Tangath, Pethkoot and Badibeth areas said that the stray dogs are on prowl in their areas and have attacked and injured at least 20 persons so far who were shifted to District hospital Bandipora for treatment and 04 of them reffered to Bone & Joint hospital srinagar for specialized treatment.
“The persons were bitten during the wee hours of this morning.
Meanwhile, an official of District Hospital Bandipora said that free anti-rabies injection were given to the 20 injured persons initially. Meanwhile, residents appealed administration to deal with the canines which they said had endangered their lives.(PTK)
