Speaker JK Assembly Constitutes Committee to Probe Jal Jeevan Mission Irregularities

Jammu, 9th April 2025 (PTK):  In response to mounting concerns raised by Hon’ble Members on the floor of the House, Speaker of the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly, Advocate Abdul Rahim Rather, has constituted a House Committee to investigate alleged irregularities in the implementation of the Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) in the Union Territory.

The committee will be chaired by Mr. Hasnain Masoodi and includes 10 other Hon’ble Members of the House:

• Mr. M.Y. Tarigami

• Mr. Ali Mohammad Dar

• Shri Rajiv Jasrotia

• Shri Ranbir Singh Pathania

• Mr. Tanvir Sadiq

• Mr. Javaid Riyaz (Bedar)

• Mr. Muzaffar Iqbal Khan

• Mr. Rafiq Ahmad Naik

• Shri Arjun Singh Raju

• Mr. Iftikhar Ahmad

This significant move aims to ensure transparency and accountability in the execution of the centrally-sponsored water supply scheme.
