Sopore encounter enter 13th hour, firing on

SRINAGAR, (PTK): Gun-battle between militants and security forces in Warpora area of Sopore in North Kashmir’s Baramulla district has entered 13th hour while indiscriminate firing is going on.

According to reports, one militant who is yet to be identified has been killed in this ongoing encounter.

Reports reaching PTK said that forces have killed one militant in ongoing gun-battle at Warpora area of Sopore while one-two more are still holed up. Indiscriminate firing is still going on from both sides.

Yesterday, at around 11:40 PM an encounter between militants and joint teams security forces ( 22RR , 179bn CRPF and SOG ) erupted in Warpora.

Meanwhile, a complete shutdown is being observed in Sopore township while authorities have imposed restrictions.

Massive clashes are going on in the area. Internet services are also suspended in the whole Sopore sub-division .

No dead bodies have been recovered yet. Operation is going on in the area. (PTK)
