Snow-covered Bandipore-Gurez road cleared for traffic

Bandipora Nov, 29 (PTK) The 86-km-long Bandipore-Gurez road was thrown open to vehicular traffic after remaining closed due to accumulation of snow along the Rajdhan Pass.

Gurez area, along the Line of Control (LoC) like Ladakh region, remains cut off from the rest of the world through Kashmir valley due to the accumulation of snow along the high peaks through which these roads are passing.

A Border Roads Organisation (BRO) official said that the snow clearance on the Bandipora –Gurez road between Tragbal and Kanzelwan was commenced soon after snowfall stopped

He said road has been cleared and is through for traffic.(PTK)
