Shut down continues to prevail in J&K
Srinagar (PTK) With no let up in positive cases of Coronavirus, the lockdown across Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory continued for the 19th straight day on Monday with all the educational institutions as well as the markets remaining shut.
Witnesses said that the police and paramilitary troopers continued to remain deployed on roads to enforce the lockdown called in wake of the deadly COVID-19 pandemic.
All the shops, business establishments as well as the educational institutions also continued to remain closed.
The roads as well as markets wore deserted look throughout the day with authorities only allowing people with proper restriction passes issued by the administration.
Only vehicles of essential sectors were seen plying throughout the day, witnesses said. Besides, Jammu and Kashmir continued to act tough against the people who were found violating the government orders.(PTk)
