Shopian District Congress Committee expresses serious concern over the damages to fruit growers

Srinagar Oct 23(PTK). District Congress Committee (DCC) Shopian on Saturday expressed anguish over the damages caused to Fruit Growers in Shopian district due to heavy snowfall.

In a statement President District Congress Committee Shopian Mushtaq Ahmad Khanday has expressed anguish over the losses caused to fruit growers in the District due to fresh snowfall.

Khanday said fruit industry in Shopian is badly hit due to the fresh snowfall, leaving the growers in a difficult situation due to the losses they have suffered on account of their production.

I would emphasize the LG administration to take stock of the losses and provide compensation to affected growers, Khanday added and sought timely redressal of their grievances.(PTK).
