Shopian CRPF man killing:- Killer along with other OGW arrested, pistol recovered:- SSP Shopian

Press Trust of Kashmir | Srinagar : Shopian police on Sunday claimed to have arrested the person along with other OGW who was involved in the killing of CRPF man on leave on Saturday.

While addressing a press conference in Shopian Senior Superintendent of Police Amrit Pal Singh said that after CRPF man namely Mukhtar Ahmad Doie was attacked from behind and in the incident he received wounds and died on way to hospital, a joint team of Police, Army and CRPF launched cordon and search operation in the area.

He sath that during operation Police managed to get some clues and by following clues, killer identified as Rukhsar Ahmad thoker was arrested and on his disclosure one pistol was recovered and OGW namely Aamir Ahmad Deewan was arrested.

On disclosure of Aamir his bike which was used for the crime was also seized and both accepted crime and said that they committed crime on behest of LeT commander Abid Ramzan Sheik.

Yes, we have got success but we have lost a CRPF and in future we are trying such things won’t happen in future, he said, adding that operations will remain continue in the area so that area will remain peaceful.

We made accommodation available in Srinagar for all panchs and sarpanches besides that accommodation is available in Shopian district too and all preventive measures are also being taken, he added.

A CRPF personnel namely Mukhtar Ahmad Doie son of Mohammad Jamal Din Doie resident of Check Chotipora Shopian was shot dead by suspected militants in his native village on Saturday evening.:-PTK.
