Several BJP members resigned from BJP in Ladakh

Ladakh, Oct 01 (PTK): Many Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) workers from Ladakh resigned from their basic membership citing various reasons.

In a letter written to BJP state president, they said, “we hereby submit our resignation from Bhartiya Janta Party on various grounds”.

“That we are the BJP core members in Chushul Mandal from last 7 years, we have not been given due respect in party particularly in selecting mandate. Party cannot deny the contribution of these workers in past many elections. If today BJP is flourishing in Lalok is all because of this party workers,” reads the letter lies with Press Trust of Kashmir (PTK).

The letter reads that “we have not been taken into confident in deciding the party mandate, which is totally injustice for the sitting Executive Councillor of LAHDC. It really isheartening to see the bypassing the Mandal decision which is not acceptable for all of us. This time party has clearly ignored the Mandal recommendation and iven the mandate without consulting a senior worker from Chushul Mandal.”

“That we didn’t get justification behind not giving party mandate to a sitting councillor, if not at least it should be given to a party worker as Mandal President name has already given in the list. That sitting councillor of Chushul Constituency has record of performance which is clearly visible on the ground. Even many long pending demands have been accomplished during this short tenure,” the letter further reads.

Therefore, we have decided to submit our resignation from three Panchayat Halka, Kargyam, Maan Pangong A and Pangong B. And unanimously resolved to desolve Mandal Chushul for this decision. Total party workers 400 from three Panchayat Halkas. (PTK)
