Security Forces Continue Frisking At Hari Singh Street Srinagar

Srinagar Feb 26 (PTK) :The government forces continued to conduct searches in main heart of Srinagar and frisk people in the busy market.

Eyewitness said that the government forces installed instant checkpoints in Hari Singh high street Srinagar on Friday and losed exits, and lined up all men.

Thee frisking went on, the government forces personnel frisked men, checked their identity cards, opened bags, and asked a few to even remove their pherans, a woolen cloak worn in winters, they said.

Few days ago militants had killed two policemen in an attack in the Baghat area of the city.

The militants were later identified by the police as affiliated with Lashkar-e-Taiba, including a local named Saqib.

Since then searches have been conducted in different parts of the Srinagar city. (PTK)
