Scattered rains likely in J&K in next 24 hours

SRINAGAR (PTK):-The Meteorological Department on Thursday forecast rain and thunderstorm at scattered places in Jammu and Kashmir for next 24 hours.

The weather was partly cloudy in the Union Territory during the last 24 hours while some places in Kashmir valley and Jammu region received light rainfall.

Today, Rain and thunderstorm is expected at scattered places in Jammu and Kashmir, an official of the Meteorological Department said.

There is also possibility of hailstorm and gusty winds at some places towards late afternoon or evening, he said.

He said, From May 19-23, Mainly dry weather is expected in Jammu and Kashmir. However, a brief spell of rain and thunderstorm at few places towards late afternoon or evening can’t be ruled out, although chances are less.(PTK)
