Rajouri: DC discusses rationalisation of polling booths with political representatives
RAJOURI, JULY 15 PRESS TRUST OF KASHMIR: District Election Officer Rajouri, Vikas Kundal today discussed rationalization of polling stations and special summary revision of photo electoral rolls with the representatives of different Political Parties and officers of line departments.
Addressing the meeting, the District Election Officer (DEO) directed the EROs and AEROs to work out proposals for rationalization of polling stations wherever necessary strictly as per the norms and timelines set by the Election Commission of India.
The DC also stressed on the rationalization of polling stations and verification of minimum assured facilities thereat.
He further directed the EROs and AEROs to work in close coordination and carry out verification and give their suggestions, if any at the earliest to facilitate appropriate action as per the ECI guidelines and to submit the proposals for rationalization of polling stations to the concerned authorities.

The District Election Officer also stressed on ensuring ramp, water supply, power and washroom facilities in all the polling stations so that the voters don’t face any inconveniences.
The meeting was attended by ACR, Imran Rashid Kataria; SDM Thanamandi, Vikas Dhar; Dy DEO, Parveen Akhter; PO ICDS, Shoket Malik; Tehsildar Thanamandi, Sahil Shah; Election NT, Surjeet Singh and representatives from the political parties.

RAJOURI, JULY 15 PRESS TRUST OF KASHMIR: Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas Kundal today chaired a meeting of the concerned officers to discuss the modalities for launching ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ Campaign in the district.
Officers who attended the meeting included ACD, Vijay Kumar; CEO Education, Shailash Kumari; Principals of Degree colleges, AD Planning, Mohd Rafi; ZEOs and other concerned officers.
At the outset, the meeting was apprised that under the aegis of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav, the government has launched “Har Ghar Tiranga” campaign to encourage people to hoist the national flag at their homes to mark the 75th Independence Day.
Detailed deliberations were held on different aspects of the campaign and the DC directed the officers to assess the demand for flags required for hoisting on Institutional and Residential buildings across the district under the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ Programme.
The DC said the programme was aimed at invoking a feeling of patriotism in the hearts of people and promoting a sense of respect for the symbols of Independence.
The DC also called for coordination and cooperation among all stakeholders to make the initiative a grand success.
