Rajouri admin finalises Skill Dev plan for FY-2022-23

Targets to train 3260 unemployed youth this year

DC stresses on imparting job oriented skills to youth

PRESS TRUST OF KASHMIR RAJOURI, AUGUST 26: Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas Kundal today chaired a meeting of the concerned officers to finalise the Skill Development plan for FY-2022-23.

During the meeting, it was informed that scores of new courses have been introduced in the plan this year to meet the aspirations of the unemployed youth. It was further informed that as many as 3260 unemployed youth would be provided training in different trades this year.

Inquiring about the courses being run in the training institutions as per the NSQ framework, the DC stressed on conducting all the courses under NSQF framework.“Skill development of youth is priority of the government and many initiatives are being taken in this regard” he added.

Laying special focus on upskilling of the youth, the DDC asked the concerned officers to explore new modalities to hone the ability of the talented youth of the district by taking skill development to grassroots level.

Women Empowerment: Self defense training program for girls organized in Rajouri

PRESS TRUST OF KASHMIR RAJOURI, AUGUST 26: District Administration Rajouri, in collaboration with Yasmeen Karate Academy, today organised a self defence training program for girls.

The program was organised on the direction of   Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas Kundal. Scores of enthusiastic  girls were imparted training in Karate for self-defence.

Additional District Development Commissioner, Pawan Kumar was the chief guest at the event.

Interacting with the participants, he said that the objective of conducting such training programs was to motivate the girls to defend themselves against the attackers to the best of their ability.

He sensitised the participants about varied welfare schemes and programs launched by the government for the women folk and asked them to motivate the needy women to avail benefits of the same.

The participants were made aware regarding the peril of the drugs and the need to create mass awareness so as to eradicate it from society.
