Police Nab Female Drug Peddler in Awantipora, Charas Seized

Awantipora, December 11(PTK) In a significant crackdown on drug trafficking, police in Awantipora arrested a female drug peddler and seized a substantial quantity of charas from her possession.

In a statement issued to PTK,  Acting on a tip-off, a police team conducted a raid in the area, leading to the apprehension of the accused woman. Upon search, a considerable amount of charas, allegedly meant for distribution, was found in her possession.

A case has been registered under relevant sections of the NDPS Act, and the accused is currently under police custody. Officials stated that the arrest is part of a larger effort to dismantle drug trafficking networks in the region.

A police spokesperson said, “Our efforts to curb the drug menace will continue with full force. We appeal to the public to report any suspicious activity related to drug trafficking.”

The police have vowed to intensify their anti-drug operations in the region, with further investigations underway to track down the network linked to the seized contraband:-(PTK)
