Police launches bhang/ cannabis destruction drive in Sopore

Press Trust Of Kashmir Srinagar August 29: Continuing its efforts to eradicate menace of drugs from the society, Police in Sopore carried out a Wild Bhang/ Cannabis destruction drive in Watergam and its adjoining areas.

A police party from Police Station Dangiwacha headed by SHO PS Dangiwacha accompanied with I/C PP Watergam along with Naib Tehsildar Watergam and officers/officials from Excise department destroyed Wild Bhung/ Cannabis spread on about 10 Kanals of land in Watergam area of Sopore and its adjoining areas. General public of the area have appreciated the action of Police and have urged to continue such drive in nearby areas also.

Community members are requested to come forward with any information regarding cultivation of contrabands in their neighbourhood. Persons found indulging in drug peddling & cultivation of contraband substances shall be dealt as per law.
