Police Launch Probe After Individual Fails to Stand for National Anthem

Srinagar, October 17: Police have initiated a probe after an individual failed to stand during the playing of the National Anthem. In a post on X, the Srinagar police confirmed that they are analyzing the incident and have launched a preliminary enquiry under Section 173(3) of the BNSS. An SP-rank officer is leading the investigation, which involves reviewing electronic evidence.

Hilal Akbar Lone, who was involved in the incident, explained that a medical condition prevented him from standing during the anthem.
