Police files chargesheet against two militant associates in Rajouri

Srinagar January, 16 (PTK) District Police Rajouri filed charge sheet against two associates of Lashkar-e-Taiba in Khandli grenade throw case.

Police in a statement said that district Police Rajouri filed a charge sheet in case FIR No. 542/2021 U/S 307/120-B/121/122 IPC, 3/4 Explosive Act, 13-ULA (P) of P/S Rajouri before the court of 3rd Additional Sessions Judge Jammu against 02 accused namely Altaf Hussain Shah S/O Qadir Shah, Caste Sayeed, R/o Draj, Tehsil-Koteranka District Rajouri and absconding accused namely Mohd Qasim @ Suleiman S/o Mohd Shafi caste Gujjar R/O Angrala Tehsil Mahore District Reasi A/P PAK/Pok.

The accused person threw a grenade in the house of one Romesh Singh S/o Lal Chand R/o Khandli Chowk and due to explosion one child aged 03 years namely Veer Singh S/o Jasbir Singh R/o Khandli Chowk died and several others viz. 1. Romesh Singh S/o Lal Chand 2. Jasbir Singh S/o Romesh 3. Siya Devi W/o Romesh Singh 4. Arjun Singh S/o Kulbhir Singh 5. Balbir Singh S/o Romesh Singh and 6. Karan Singh S/o Balbir Singh R/o Khandli Chowk sustained serious injuries, statement reads.

The accused were associated with militant outfit LeT. The investigation exposed the terror network in J&K and PoK, it reads further.

The charge sheet was filed by DySP Hqrs. Rajouri Sh. Chanchal Singh under the supervision of SSP Rajouri Sh. Mohd Aslam, JKPS, it States further. (PTK)
