Police Crack Down on LeT Module: Four Militant Associates Apprehended in Kulgam
Kulgam, (PTK) : Police authorities announced the dismantling of a Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) module with the arrest of four militant associates in Kulgam district, South Kashmir.
According to police, the operation, conducted under FIR no. 14/2024 U/S 13, 18, 39 UA(P) act at the Qaimoh Kulgam police station, involved a joint effort by Kulgam Police, 1RR, and 18 BN CRPF. Four terrorist associates were apprehended, and a significant cache of arms and ammunition was seized from their possession.
The arrested individuals have been identified as Zahoor Ahmad Pandit, Basir Hussain Pandit, Imtiyaz Gull, and Gulzar Ahmad Khar, all residents of Wanpora.
Items confiscated from the suspects include 1 Pistol, 2 Pistol Magazines, 20 rounds of Pistol ammunition, 4 UBGLs (Under Barrel Grenade Launchers), and 24 rounds of INSAS rifle ammunition.
An official, speaking to the news agency Press Trust of Kashmir, confirmed the identities of the arrested individuals and their residential details.
The police have stated that the investigation is ongoing, with the possibility of more arrests and recoveries in connection with the case. This successful operation underscores the relentless efforts of the security forces in combating terrorism and maintaining peace in the region.
